5th Grade Poetry Readings
In the month of Februrary Mrs. Rafferty and Ms. Mohajeri's class began to focus on fluency through the use of poetry. We used poems from Joyful Noise by Paul Fleischman, which are poems about the lives in insects explored by two voices. We practiced and practiced for about two weeks before preforming them on February 16th, 2017. Please enjoy! View All Videos

New Cataloging System
Over February break the Niskayuna school libraries will be switching from the OPALS catalog to Follett Destiny. In preparation for the change, ALL BOOKS NEED TO BE RETURNED BEFORE BREAK. We are also discarding old books before the switch, so your child may come home with a discarded book they can keep. Discarded books will have a black line through the Hillside barcode on the back cover of the book.
